Outstanding stay at The Westin Sarasota. Excellent hotel all around - super clean, well maintained, and staffed by a truly great team. Everything from housekeeping to the front desk to valet was professional and friendly. The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are stellar and easily one of the highlights of the property. The rooms are updated, spotless and very comfortable. We had breakfast there twice and really enjoyed it…a great continental breakfast, good service and flexible options whether you want a quick bite or a longer, relaxed breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it if you’re visiting Sarasota.
I want to take a moment to recognize an exceptional experience at the Westin Sarasota, thanks entirely to Maria Anderson at the front desk. It had been a while since we last visited the property, but from the moment we arrived, Maria made us feel genuinely welcome. Her professionalism, confidence, and positive attitude stood out immediately. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was handled smoothly, and she did it with ease and sincerity. That kind of service is rare and memorable. Because of Maria’s outstanding help and demeanor, our vacation was not only pleasant but memorable—and it’s the reason we will absolutely be back.
We had a wonderful experience at the Marriott, starting right at the front desk. The hotel’s location is absolutely magnificent, and the staff truly elevate the entire stay. Everyone was respectful, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. A special thank you to Ms. Maria Anderson, who went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. She assisted us seamlessly with our reservation and accommodated us in the most amazing way. Maria also took the time to provide detailed information about the Marriott resort resources and amenities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you, Maria, for such an incredible experience. We will certainly be coming back—and bringing more friends with us next time!
It did not start too well. We arrived around 230 to check in. Maria said that our room wasn't ready but would be in a few minutes and that I would get a call when it was. We went to the rooftop on the 19th floor where there is a pool and bar to chill. At 330 we did not hear anything but remember Maria said our room would be ready in a few minutes. We back back to check in and Maria told us our room would not be ready till the 4pm check in. We checked out the gym and at 345 got a call that our room was ready. . The gym is done well Good ventilation and a good amount of machines. 1 thing to note: You can stop at any floor without a room key. The elevators are not set up to only stop if you insert your room key in the slot. Sandra our housekeeper did a great job cleaning our room and making up our bed. Now about our room: While it was an upgrade and spacious it is a be careful what you wish for as we asked for an upgrade. Room 1809 while 18 floors above, you do hear loud noises from the traffic below. The bathroom is right next to the bed so when you flush the toilet makes a loud noise. This is also below their rooftop bar and pool. At around 1030-1100pm when they move the furniture for the night you hear it. Still this was a 5 star experience.
Our stay at The Westin Sarasota was exceptional from start to finish. The location is perfect — close to downtown, the bay, and some of the best restaurants and cultural spots in Sarasota. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotless, with comfortable beds and beautiful views. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The rooftop pool and bar are definite highlights — a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the sunset over the bay. The breakfast was delicious, with great variety and quality. Overall, The Westin Sarasota delivers a wonderful balance of comfort, elegance, and hospitality. We would definitely love to come back!
hotel is clean, upscale, smells really good. the staff are extremely nice and helpful. rooftop pool and bar- can’t go wrong there. poolside service was excellent. the shuttle service which takes you to nearby places and to the beach was fantastic. basically you just tell them you need the shuttle and it appears fast
My family and I visited this property for my dads 50th birthday and had a great time. All of the drivers of the shuttles are fantastic and are very knowledgeable about the area. Marcia at the front desk is also very accommodating and brought up a surprise champagne bottle for my parents to their room.
I had a great experience at the rooftop restaurant At the Westin. Our waiter was Tacoma — and since that’s my hometown, it was easy to remember his name. Super friendly and quick service on the day we were there. We went for lunch, but next time I want to go back for dinner because the view is amazing. I want to see it again at night.
